Bought this Television (UN55C7000) from Amazon with regards to a month ago for approximately $1800.

Overall I am happy with the TV. The top def quality can be exceptionally good. I think Samsung LCDs overcome anyone else’s LCDs in terms of pure picture quality. Along with the bezel is very classy and thin (even though I would have chosen a traditional black stand to this new sterling silver one).

However, there’s room for improvmemnt. I truly do notice some flashlighting in the corners as other reviews have mentioned. It’s not terrible along with turning the backlight right down to 7 helps. It is most noticeable within dark scenes while viewed off perspective. I actually bought this particular TV for UN55C7000 my personal parents house, and i also don’t think they’ve even noticed this flashlighting influence. If you don’t know to watch out for it, you might never observe it.

This Television also does not have correct local dimming like the 8000 series does. Rather this TV dims or perhaps brightens all the backlights concurrently. Local dimming would have been nice, but that feature most likely isn’t worth the additional $400 that Samsung fees for it.

As far as the actual audio on this Tv set, it’s pretty good however, not great. I assume the reason is now that these brand new LED TVs are very thin, the bottom experiencing internal speakers can not really function as effectively.

For the price Amazon . com is charging, this kind of TV is a very good buy. Most users will be very impressed with the picture quality and probably never also notice the backlight bleeding concerns unless they are described to them.

Last year I bought any Panasonic 42 inch Lcd HDTV and the picture on it is so well-defined that when Amazon/Panasonic put a campaign on to save a great addition 400.Double zero dollars for Purchasing this specific 50 Inch Animations plasma, 3D Blu Jimmy and Avitar 3D Spectacles starter set I can not resist, Also i saved an additional 20% since I received any5 code from our Amazon Chase credit card for an additional 20% off so that it made my purchase for all 3 just below 1100.00 dollars, a virtually 50% saving!

Now on to the review…. I am just rating the TV because 4 stars as it does not have the exact quality as my 42″ Panasonic Lcd7 HDTV(TC-P42G10)which is because sharp of a picture as I have seen. I believe the reason is that regardless of how big you High definition is it is only going to have 1080 lines of decision, so Panasonic VIERA TC-P50GT25 the larger the actual HDTV the larger the p. So, the larger the TV the grainer the picture will likely be. From my activities a 46″ HDTV is the max size I might buy, anything over that size you will start to see a significantly less crisp picture unless you are going sit A dozen or more feet out of the TV.

Now possessing said all of this, the picture quality is still excellent and vivid. There is no blur on quickly motion movies as well as sports, plasma are perfect for this. We watched the 3D Avitar motion picture that came with the Glasses starter kit and i also will say that observing 3D was amazing. This TV far exceeded my expectations. As many others have noted, I too was concerned with the fact that this TV was not 1080p. My parents own a Panasonic Viera 1080p plamsa, and I would say, however, that this LG plasma is very close in quality. I thought that images would not be as clear and crisp as I wanted them to, but I soon found out that I was wrong. From a comfortable viewing distance of 7 or so feet, this TV looks amazing. The detail in characters of movies and games is also impressive. I popped in my Avatar Blu-ray and I was immediately won over. The contrast between the lights and darks is great, and the black levels are very good, which is expected from a plasma. The 600hz refresh rate and fast response time make everything smooth, especially LG 42PW350 with sports and video games.

The only problem that I have with this TV is the fact that it does not make a good PC monitor. Whenever it is connected to a TV, the native resolution makes the desktop look a little large and mis-shapen, but when playing games from the PC to the screen, things look great. It is also nice that the monitor will accept the 1080p input from my gaming consoles and PC, so those look amazing as well.

The 3D games look great, but I cannot yet comment on the quality of 3D movies. However, because of the great 3-D games, I would have to imagine that a 3D movie would be just as impressive. The 2D to 3D conversion seems a little gimmicky, but it does add depth to your favorite shows and movies. I still prefer the 2D to stay in 2D though.

Overall, I would recommend this plasma. For the price and the inclusion of 2 free pairs of glasses (when I bought it anyways) this deal cannot be beaten. Excellent sound from the on-board speakers and equally amazing picture make me very happy that I bought this television.

Nonetheless, the 3d top quality is not as nice while i would’ve hoped for. Your reasoning is that tv ISNT actually 240hz but only true 120hz. In Animations the frame charge gets even slower, so i only advise this TV if you don’t have a great need for Animations but really want a tv with great internet features.
