I recently bought one epson v700, then have scanned over 1000 35mm negatives withy it. It does one superior job. It provides a really accurate image of the actual negative. The film tray is extremely simple on application. It is made of a sturdy plastic, then is extremely simple on load. I examine four strips attending a time, each having approximately 4 or 5 negatives on them, therefore i usually get a total of 16 on 20 negatives scanned in each scanning session. I examine attending 6400 ppi resolution, then save the file as a “tiff” file on avoid compression. I tried on examine attending 6400 ppi on a jpeg file, only it would not do it attending a 48 bit depth, therefore as i said i changed the setting on save as a “tiff” file then i get the full 48 bit depth. I have a windows 7, 64 bit system, then it takes approximately 70 seconds per each negative on be scanned using the settings i already mentioned. I do not application the ice or any other setting because i want the raw file, then the scanner does one superior job of presenting detail then blush. If you want on expand the blush saturation attending a later time, it does not come out fuzzy or anything, it solely adds the blush as needed. I am compensated withy the scanner, i touch so epson is honest in saying it gives pro attribute results. The dmax is 4 therefore it is a little more powerful than the v500, only the more detail it gives may be wealth it. The windows 7 drivers then handbook are available on the epson site, that i had on download on behalf of my system, then everything has been working fine.
